In an unfortunate turn of events, a family’s entire world was turned topsy turvy when their sweet boy was involved in a tragic accident. His condition was such that they thought he wouldn’t survive. But a few days later, the heartbroken family received a grand surprise.
Being a parent comes with its fair share of struggles, sacrifices, and responsibilities. No parent would ever want to see their little ones in trouble, and when need be, they can put their own life on the line for the sake of their children.
Suffering and pain are a part of life; no matter how hard we try, we can’t escape them. Fortunately, loving family and supportive friends can help people bounce back from hard times and come back stronger. The youngster in today’s story underwent a similar experience.
THE ACCIDENT
On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, six-year-old Bodie Glenn Boring was on a job site with his father when something unexpected happened — a heart-wrenching event that nobody saw coming. The boy was said to have been run over by a heavy bulldozer, which weighed around 18,000 pounds.
Hundreds of thousands of people watched the video and were astounded by the youngster’s strength.
SEVERELY INJURED
Soon afterward, Bodie was airlifted and taken to a hospital in Temple, Texas. He was hospitalized and said to have been severely injured, with multiple fractures and a brain injury.
The youngster was still recovering from his injuries when on August 1, he was said to have tested positive for COVID-19 after running a high fever.
The Boring family, including the boy’s mother, Samantha Boring, and father, Dugan Boring, were devastated after the unfortunate incident.
SHARING HER SON’S JOURNEY
According to his family, Bodie’s injuries were so severe that they thought he wouldn’t make it. They continued to pray for a miracle and begged God for their sweet boy’s recovery.
Samantha also chronicled her son’s journey on social media. In a July 27 Facebook post, she wrote:
” [Bodie] was life flighted to temple & all I could do was beg God not to take my baby (sic).”
A MIRACLE
But despite the terrifying ordeal, the Boring family received a heartwarming surprise when their sweet boy started showing signs of improvement. A relieved Samantha expressed that her son was feeling better and the accident didn’t break his spirit.
The delighted mother said that her boy had started to walk even before being diagnosed with COVID-19. Samantha shared that she knew Bodie’s recovery journey would be long, but she was hopeful that he would overcome. She also said:
“This is a miracle, and there’s only one explanation as to why [Bodie’s] still here and I truly believe that that’s God.”
